How do we know what to believe?

August 1 - I Need a Vacation -- Hebrews 4 { Have you ever become spiritually exhausted? Does your soul long for a day off or a vacation? Somewhere to be quiet and let someone else make the decisions and handle the problems?

August 8 - Melchizedek Who? -- Hebrews 5 { Who is the Old Testament character and what does he have to do with Jesus? Why is any of the Old Testament important to me as a New Testament Christian?

August 15 - Do You Want to Quit? -- Hebrews 6 { The writer of Hebrews calls us to endurance, to steadfastness. It seems as though giving up and giving in is the way to go. But we have been called to something much higher, much mightier.

Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate

This four-week series will help us prepare to return to life as “normal” – outside the vacation mode. While we are preparing for our annual celebration, we are also preparing to engage one another in service to the Lord.

August 22 – Celebrate the Kingdom – Matt. 22:1-14

We that are a part of the Kingdom of God need to celebrate. We have been called out of the world and into the Kingdom. But being part of the Kingdom also requires that we are dressed for the occasion. How ought we to dress for the Kingdom?

August 29 – Give Me Oil in My Lamp – Matt. 25:1-13

Are we prepared to meet the Master? How do we prepare to meet Him?

September 5 – Surprise! Not! – Luke 12:35-40

Are we surprised when things happen? Do people sometimes catch us off guard? Are we alert to the coming of the Master? Are we ready for His return?
